The New Zealand Dollar (NZD) weakened against the US Dollar (USD) on Tuesday, trading around 0.5835, down 0.07% despite stronger-than-expected inflation figures for Q2, according to FX Street.

Brown Brothers Harriman’s Elias Haddad noted that the NZD/USD pair initially rallied towards a seven-week high following the release of New Zealand's Q2 Consumer Price Index, which surprised slightly on the upside. However, the inflation reading remained just below the Reserve Bank of New Zealand's projection, limiting further gains.

For Japanese investors, the cautious movement in the NZD/USD highlights the ongoing sensitivity of FX markets to inflation data, particularly as central banks like the RBNZ balance tightening measures amid global economic uncertainties.
